Wolfsploitation indeed. Those two panels are the first of a six-panel page that's nothing but reiterations of that scene. I thought less was more in this case.
Bad as the story was, the first half of X-Force V3 had some great gut-punch panels. The three above are some of my favorites, but there's also Warren sprawled atop a pile of corpses, or Jimmie and Ghost Rider fighting a Demon Bear. Ooomph. Unfortunately they lost that aspect half-way through, and while Necrosha tried to recover it most of its panel were too dark and muddy to see.
