I've been waiting for ever for this review - so glad to see it finally. I'm with you totally with the "phoar" at Ianto's first appearance. I was so completely lost at the sight of that belt that I had to rerun the sequence, oh at least 5 times, before I really knew what they were talking about. And Ianto as a Welsh collie! I've got a Welsh collie - points at icon. Perhaps I'll have to rename him...
Are you groaning, as well, at the sight of bloody Rose in the new DW? (I mean, I knew she was supposed to be making a come back but give us a break, in the very first episode? I see she still hasn't brushed her hair.) Just as I'm thinking that Donna, after all, doesn't seem to be so bad - or should that be "just when you thought it was safe to go back into the TARDIS.."?
