Real connections! You seem in a bit of a whirl still, which I suppose is only to be expected. I hope that the family meetings continue to go well for you though. Or mostly well. I appreciate that it must also be difficult, seeing the things that you missed.
As somebody who comes from a big family (five siblings, both parents around, all four grandparents alive for my whole childhood, although admittedly I didn't know them terribly well), I must caution you that you may not find the answers to where you came from, even from within your genetic family. I haven't found anybody I'm related to that I'm remotely similar to yet! We are the product of our genes, but how those genes function, and the being that they produce, is perhaps always fated to be at least in part a mystery. But that is, of course, no reason not to ask the questions, and try to find the answers. Good luck!
