Entertainment Producers: This Is What "Bleah" Looks Like

The montone Doctor Who Season 5b has me not watching.  The Marvel Schism/Fear/Whatever (Are there really three different crossover events running simutaneously in the same MU now?) has me bummed out on comics.  The DCNU has me actively repulsed.  Torchwood -- let's just not go there.  I find myself passing on reading comics and fandom in favor of reading fall planting guides and washing machine reviews.  Seriously Big Entertainment People, when the reviews of your latest products don't sound half as exciting as the Speed Queen reviews, you are quite obviously DOING SOMETHING HELLACIOUSLY WRONG!

Stop it.  Right now.  Put out something good for Pete's sake!

Yeah, currently I'm not watching anything on TV. Even video-on-demand is running out of things that appeal to me. Sigh

I've been watching series made by SyFy. Their movies are still terrible, but their series are good.

I'm enjoying "Ringer" at the moment. Not entirely sure whether that's not just because of the fun of having Buffy and Richard Alpert doing a series together, though. It's a bit like when Spike turned up in "Torchwood". Still, it's fun in the meantime.

I'm increasingly thinking that you can't beat the old stuff, though.

I hate to sound like a curmudgeon, but I agree. It seems like TPTB can find no reason to exert themselves these days.
