I too tend to think of the great actress of Hollywood's Golden Era such as Greer Garson (Mrs. Miniver- a must-see!)and Bette Davis (Dark Victory; Now, Voyager- both a must-see!!)

I've seen them, that's why Garson & Davis came to mind. Also, their on-screen characters had so much more guts & backbone; poor Marilyn got stuck with the '50s fluffhead roles.
