I got word that the DNA sample for my ethnicity test reached the lab today.  Yippee!  I'm so excited!

You can expect to receive your results in the next 6-8 weeks

Oh.

And that's what I'll be doing for Lent sorted out.

What a cool idea! Do remember though that these DNA companies aren't as brilliant as they always claim. What they tell you might be completely correct, but it also might not be. Maintain a healthy scepticism.

Six to eight weeks though?! Ouch. I can understand your frustration! Hopefully it won't actually be that long. Do you have any craft projects, or further house development projects to do in the meantime to occupy your mind?

They warn that ethnic "markers" get lost in every generation. But they are also serving as a check on the adoption agency. They gave my family some information on my ethnicity, but IDK if I trust them. Anyone who'd approve my mother for adoption (she'd already failed at another agency) is dubious.
