Aw, Damn

The Novel That Will Not Die has resurfaced in my brain again, only this time it's dragging along a great background and a kicking Act 2.

Shit.  Shit, shit, shit, shit.  This time I may actually have to write something down.

The problem is, it's a Jesus-fic.  I'm not sure who would actually read it vs. who would want to beat me up for writing it.

Go ahead and write it. Whether anybody else might want to read it should never be a barrier; otherwise all kinds of things would never have been written. As to the other thing - well, that depends on where you're planning to display it, if at all. I'd have thought that LJ would be fairly safe, unless it's Jesus/St John the Baptist slash, or something. And even then, I doubt you'd be the first to have written it. This is LJ!

Besides, lots of people have to read something before any real kind of a fuss is made. And again - this is LJ. It's not prime time TV, with an audience of fifty million.

I'm another on the "write it" bandwagon -- at minimum, it gets it out of your head. As for who's gonna read it? Do a global search'n'replace on all the names, then go pro for bocu bucks! ::g,d,rlh::

Write it, then publish it over here (the UK). No one over here will give you that much grief, we're just not that obsessed with only hearing one thing about Jesus. Or send to a New York publisher under a pseudonym. But most of all, do it for yourself. Once it's written, then you can sweat the rest of it.
