I don't think either of those things are quite clear at all. You're basing a lot on assumptions, there. As, I realise, am I. Which is basically where my problem lies with the show at the moment, they are, as they've done before, making us draw an awful lot of conclusions having been given precious little actual evidence.

Having said that, you're usually right, and I do believe that my squick will probably be resolved in 10 and 11. I just wish I'd never felt it in the first place.
